Two brushes with greatness

I was honored to have 2 of my tintypes (outtakes from an Out State shoot in 2009) used by designer Ned Irving to illustrate a book about Hiroshi Sueyoshi. (pottery photography by Adam Alphin) for his epic show at the Cameron Museum of Art.
Hiroshi, is one of the most interesting artist I have ever met and is a national treasure. He is collected in all the big time museums, worldwide. More at cameronartmuseum.org.

My second brush with greatness , was a rainy day in the country with Phillip Gerard. Phillip is not only a great musician but the offical historian of the Civil War for Our State magazine. Throught out the 5 years of 150th anniversary events, Philip brought us a collection of fresh tales and newly researched stories that occurred in the Old North State published monthly in Our State. <http://cdbaby.com/cd/philipgerard>
