Tintype wedding in Asheville

Honour and Douglas married September 24 2011. Now forever more, they can touch their
their wedding day through the tintypes we make. Here are a few of the 30 or so done in
6-7 hours of live wedding action. Whole Plate, Half plate and a few brownie size plates
just because I like the way they look.
Planning a daytime wedding? maybe you would like more than a "shoot and burn"...
Maybe something artfully handmade like a tintype or ambrotype.

Our State Magazine

Thanks to you Brian Reed and Jim McKee for enduring video and tintype photography all in a day. And Our state for trying something new in an old way. I shot this for a story on the Civil War coming up in this months Our State.
And Special thank to Jonathan Weaver for perfect edit of the raw footage I shot as I was making tintypes. That's really using both sides of the brain I might add.

Tintype wedding

As if regular wedding photography is not stressful enough, how about a tintype wedding like my new friends Jamie and Tom. The couple choose to have a really personal wedding circa 1875. Here are a few of the 16 plates made(in 5 hours)(in blazing midday sun), half and whole plate sizes.
Many thanks to The Jarvis Mansion , New Bern, North Carolina, for making this a great day for all.
